Rhea turns the coffee break into a quality moment

rhea

Rhea is one of largest producers of automated coffee machines, customised to respect preferences and local habits of consumers worldwide. Since 1960, the company is committed to respond to the demands of different markets by offering tailor-made solutions. This has enabled Rhea, an excellence of Italian manufacturing, to export its solutions to more than 90 countries.

During last FHA Horeca in Singapore, we had the chance to taste and enjoy some tailor-made recipes realised with Rhea's super-automatic machines: gourmet recipes created by Andrea Lattuada, an internationally renowned coffee expert, that respect the Italian coffee culture tradition, but enriched with a touch of innovation and creativity to meet Asiatic tastes, demonstrating how Rhea's technology and continuous research in experimentation allow each barista to customise their recipes while always keeping high-quality standards.

In addition to taste, personalisation also concerns aesthetic and functionality. Rhea has always worked to offer machines designed to adapt to the environment in which they are placed and create a personalised hospitality corner for workspaces, retail, hotels, petrol stations, boutique, public places or residential areas.

With its new range of rhFS and rhTT, Rhea offers a multi-sensory experience that engages the consumer through taste, interactivity, entertainment and variety of beverages, included those with fresh milk. Thanks to rhMM1.v+ module based on induction technology, it is possible to offer a traditional cappuccino or latte macchiato with hot or cold fresh milk, but also vegan with vegetable milk and satisfy all new consumers trends and preferences.

Rhea's induction technology confirms its focus on ESG values: Rhea’s machines are, in fact, equipped with Varitherm technology, the patented induction heating system, which makes it possible to adapt the water temperature to individual recipes, allowing even different temperatures in the same drink, as well as considerable savings in energy consumption. Moreover, the internal components of the new machines are easily accessible and organised with a semantic color system for their cleaning and maintenance and they can be managed remotely via telemetry, as well as their interface configurations and software updates. Rhea uses recycled materials and, at the end of their life, the machines can be disassembled by separating the recyclable parts (plastics, metals) easily, without creating hybrid situations of undifferentiated waste. Still on the environmental issue, Rhea has been using green energy for the company's needs since 2016. Rhea’s priority is to deliver great coffee sustainably by respecting people and protecting the environment. Therefore, innovation and sustainability are indeed other two values that mark Rhea history.

“The perfect machine is one which produces, helps, is efficient, maintains consistent quality guaranteed by the set-up and understands and satisfies consumer demands. This is the mission which drives our company and that is well expressed by our concept Design for all” comments Andrea Pozzolini, Ceo of Rhea.

Design for all wants to express how design, as a combination of aesthetics, architecture and technology, can create a machine that can be used by any user, whether professional or not, to make their own product, thanks to the possibility that automation gives to customise, and therefore interpret, each individual recipe, thus guaranteeing replicability. But it also embraces the Rhea’s attention to inclusivity: Rhea creates machines specially designed for people with disabilities.

Rhea is the choice of those organizations who are keen to quality, innovation, design and sustainability. Companies who want to keep up with the revolution and evolution of the current social context to create new consumption experiences and, at the same time, new business opportunities.
